What is Application Access in CR-Certify?

Updated on

Application Access determines what features and information external users can see and interact with in CR-Certify. Application Access is assigned to clients, project teams, subcontractors, and brokers to give them the appropriate level of access to the system. There are three types of Application Access: WrapSheet, Insurance, and Broker.

Assigning Application Access

To give a user Application access, navigate to the People tab on the client, project, or contract level. Then, select the checkmark under the Application Access appropriate for that person.

Note: WrapSheet access is available at all levals, while Insurance and Broker access is only available at the contract level.

WrapSheet

WrapSheet access allows clients and project teams to login to a read-only version of CR-Certify. More information on WrapSheet can be found here

Insurance

Insurance access is designed for the person at a subcontractor company who manages insurance documentation and compliance. When a person is given Insurance access, they will receive the Insurance Request emails and About to Expire emails when the contract has non-compliant or expiring insurance.

Broker

Broker access is designed for insurance brokers and agents who help subcontractors find appropriate insurance policies. Similar to Insurance access, those with Broker access will receive the Insurance Request and About to Expire emails when the contract has non-compliant or expiring insurance. Unlike Insurance access, Broker access can be customized by policy by clicking the Assign Broker Role button.

If a Broker contact is only associated with specific policies, you can refine those policies by clicking the Assign Broker Role button next to the person's email. This will open a pop-up where you can select the specific policies that are associated with that Broker. This means that Brokers will only receive emails for policies that they issue certificates for.

Note: if the only non-compliant items are description of operations, certificate holder, or additional documents, then all Broker contacts will receive Insurance Request emails for those items, regardless of which polices were selected for the Broker Role.
